New!

This year started out with a new market and new friends. I ventured to a very small town in Greenback, TN and participated in the winter market. The market took place in a historic train depot. I met all kinds of new customers and vendors. I learned about aquaponics and what it takes to raise 1500 chickens. My friends grow fantastic lettuce and sell some of the best eggs you will ever eat.

A new marketing concept for me was joining a CSA. A CSA is Community Supported Agriculture. The one I belong to is called “Garden Delivery” Customers can order a week ahead and boxes of goodies from farms all over are delivered to many places for pick up. The farmer’s version of online shopping.

New flavors came next-or maybe in-between. I worked hard to create a citrus flavored pasta and a chocolate pasta. I do not like to put anything artificial in my product so it was a little tricky. They were finally ready by the end of July.

Then there was another new market in Maryville, TN. Some of the friends that I met in the winter were here too! It becomes a community.  I continued to participate in Knoxville as well.

New shops came along also. I am now represented in Abingdon and Glade Springs Virginia by Blue Hills Market.

In October, I tried a big fair-new for me. It was called Ketner’s Mill Country Fair. Two days of food, music and many vendors. Ken and I did this event together. Me with my pasta and Ken with his blacksmithing. We must have been crazy. We had some help though, my sister and her husband came down to help us out. It was all good.

So, now I have finished updating my website, new products and new shipping schedules. I am looking forward to the holiday season. I will be participating in the Holiday Market every Saturday, making pasta and filling orders for stores and customers.  Have a very wonderful November and December!
